Q: 1999 chevy monte carlo LS?
everytime i start the engine there is this weird sound, a fast “tik-tik-tik” then it’s gone. seems to be coming from the engine or just behind the dash area. car drives perfect but is this “tik-tik-tik” telling me something?

i just bought the car 3 months ago for $3300 with only 55k miles on it and i’m loving it.

i had an oil change and the brakes done at midas, got me some used nice tires and had the (original 16″) wheels balanced and aligned at wheelworks.

i’m thinking of a 60k miles check on everything soon but what else should i be watching out for first? tranny?

it’s just an LS but i drive it like it’s a muscle car
what do i need to do to make it more powerful without too much risk of damaging the engine or the car in general

i’m also trying to fix the appearance and thinking of a front air dam? any opinions?
i also got a quote from maaco for about $450 for their cheapest paint job. any thoughts?

any suggestions related OR NOT is appreciated.

If everything that I am seeing is just a GIGANTIC coincidence, and Obama really isn’t appointing communists, islamic, anti-americans in HIGH positions, and the fact that he has taken the unemployee ment numbers to an all time hi, while boasting that he is doing just the opposite…and the many other thousands of weird coincidences that surround this administration…sitting in a church pew for over 25 years and never getting the feeling that maybe his pastor hated !!!
